Where are the MP's?  Surely picture taking of the Empire's top aircraft must be considered spying?

Perhaps they shouldn't have parked it so close to the perimeter fence then?  ;)

The New Commonwealth encourages pride in it's armed forces and so nearly every main airbase has somewhere close to an area of public access for air spotters, American spies and the like. Of course nothing really sensitive gets this close.......well maybe  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Good answer and I love the idea.  I may just have to borrow that for a RW build.

One of my ideas that has been stewing in the head for 30+ years has been to do an Open House display.  Gives the opportunity to display several different airplane types in the same dio (as opposed to a flightline dio of the several of the same types).  You can include Warbirds and even Armor.  Biggest holdback for me has been figuring out how to paint all the civilians milling around (and affording them).

Cleethorpes!  What an ugly name for an ugly aircraft!

Edit: I didn't realize it was a place name (though I suppose I should've known, it being Saunders Roe).  My apologies to anyone who lives in South Humberside.

Well done model of an interesting airplane.  Although, I've always wondered how they would keep water out of the engines in anything but calm seas.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

South Humberside doesn't exist anymore.  I live in what was North Humberside, the county of Humberside was a short lived attempt to try & improve commerce in the area, it didn't work & it was unpopular, the locals wanting to revert back to the original boundaries of the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire & North East Lincolnshire.  Cleethorpes is alive and well, it's a small seaside resort that pretty much runs into Grimsby.  It's one of those 'cheap & cheerful kind of places, I haven't been often despite it being just across the river, (tended to visit Bridlington & Scarborough) but many local people have a fondness for it being the kind of place you'd spend summer days as a kid.

Looks good!  I could slag Cleethorpes being born North of the river, but I'm going to be nice! ;D
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

So....
The aircraft should have its undersides painted yellow then?? Being from the Lincolnshire end of things
