Another shot of Beowulf and you still haven't told me what I used?

Looks like a Spitfire (Supermarine, anyway) tail section & FW-190 cockpit canopy over a twin-tub cockpit (scratch/pilfered from something else).

The wings look oh-so familiar but I just can't place them, while the engine is a complete mystery.

I'll give you all one clue.....the engine was from an Airfix Lancaster, then tweeked!
Glenn

The Wooksta!

The majority of the airframe is an Airfix Blenheim - the tail gives it away, along with the rivets on the wings.

Yup, gotta agree with that!

It was the landing light that was throwing me, the pictures I looked at (of both the real thing & models) either didn't have it or weren't showing it. Next best visual match was the Supermarine tail but the wing kept evading me until I just looked up "Airfix Blenheim" & there it was (only ever built one, back in the early/mid-70's).

Thanks, Wooksta!

PS: It's not a FW-190 canopy, either! :banghead:

The wings look like an IL-2's wings... the gear bulbs look just about right.

You're almost there!!!! Fuselage and wings....Blenheim Mk IV, only I rebooted where the wing usually sits. The undercart are from a Beaufughter, as is the torpedo. The two crew members are made up like the old models, cut off at the shoulders, with the cockpit area painted matt black....the easy bit, now the hard bit, what are the tailplanes from?

Glenn

No, sorry...the canopy is from a Bell Sea Cobra.

This is the Metcalfe 'High St. Shops' card buildings, and it's something I do just for fun.
So, Matthew....how's your railway set and would you like a few buildings?

No, I don't have a railway set, I just like building stuff!
