I understand that aircraft, even in models or photos, going to the viewers left (we see the left/port side of the aircraft) appear faster than going right.  Some trick of the mind.  Not sure if it is different for folks who read right to left. May not help for a Beverly however  ;)

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Apparently we "see" left to to right, and we move down the shape quicker when it it is pointy. I can't recall where I read this- think it was an aviation photo forum.
