Belated congratulations for this weird unknown Curtiss airliner model
(I did not know this plane, but Google explains: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtiss_Kingbird )

I know it's a long time between drinks, but this is the second view of the Kingbird.

Don't ask me how this happened, but somehow, a Tiger from Band of Brothers ended up in a small village in GAUL...and the only thing that saved the tank and crew was, the villagers were chasing the Romans at the time!
That's my story....and I'm sticking to it!

RN AD4W in its Suez markings as well as its number and prefix number.
Haven't got the RN number as yet, and it needs a set of prop blades.

Very plausible. Well done Glenn.

Matthew

Good model, is it scratchbuilt? (or using a kit basis)

Matthew.....how have you been? Haven't heard from you in a while.

I think I said this before, bought it cause it looked like a Moke. Well, it looks even more like one today.

Hello Glenn

It looks rather Moke like. Whomever designed it had definitely seen one at close hand.

Keeping busy with life which reduces time for what ifs. I tried to send a pm.

PR19_Kit

The US Army DID see the Moke at first hand, both the single and twin-engined versions.

IIRC the twin engined version was built at their suggestion, but the lack of ground clearance went against it going into production.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
