I still have some  hot wheels cars from when I was a kid, so they will be  over 40 years old.

I have a few of them I keep, but mostly I buy them to hand out at Halloween, instead of candy.

Tophe...you sly devil, all this time you've had a second job! Working for Matchbox!
As soon as I saw this toy I thought.."That's one of Tophe's"Am I right.......or, am I wrong?
Today I am making "for Matchbox" a derivative, but loosing the twin-boom layout is a shame :-\ ;D

And a twin-boom symmetric derivative to complete the family, but the best was the source: twin-boom AND asymmetric... ;D

PR19_Kit

Wasn't the original asymmetric one of them a Burt Rutan design? It looks familiar somehow.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

An I add a very simple twin-cabin Boomerang too: <_<

This is a hybrid with the fuselage, a butchered Hawker Sea Fury, and the wings in balsa. I know, the wings look too long, but it's the way it was designed. This is a Boeing F8B and flew post war.
Scale : 1/48 and nowhere near finished.

Sorry about the delay.......been ill.

Our expert in this domain, PR19_Kit, will comfort you: wings are never too long!

Exactly, it's impossible for wings to be TOO long!  ;D

NARSES2

Hope your fully recovered now Glenn

The F8B's an interesting aircraft, got a 1/72 one in the stash
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Back with the Jenny, fuselage finished, engine done and pilot in rear, now....how to finish her? I cant find any WW1 movie where one was used as a DH 4 or anything although, the RFC/Canada had them as trainers frm 1916~1918 , so, this may be the way to go!

If you don't find a source, this is not a problem: as you are a what-ifer (and a great one!) you could invent! ;)

I recall reading the bio of some famous American flyer - sorry, can't remember which one - possibly Lindberg.  He tells of showing up to the USAAC training facility in his own Jenny.  He was asked by the commandant to move it to some other airfield, because it was "an eyesore"!
Apparently it was in very poor condition, and the commander didn't want anyone to thing it 'belonged' to him!  :)  There was a line about "How much aileron do you need to counteract that hole in the wing?"

That might be an interesting finish.  :)
