This is another Dinotopia model of a six leg crab like walking model...it is scaled at 1/16 and is built from fibreglass. The legs are made from a rubber mould and are cast in resin. It's about a third into the construction.

Now that is interesting.

We're back with 'No Highway...'and now you can see that the engines are in place...although not finished. I've decided to finish her off as a 'desk' model....just to be different!

I really like the biplane tail and the B-36 style canopy, Glenn! I don't think I've ever seen a swept biplane tail on a jet before.

Brian, sorry mate, but the Reindeer is a turboprop. The intakes are inside the spinners, like the FW-190V1.
This entry is something completely different...the EVA pod, from 2001:A Space Odyssey. The scale is, 1/12 and is made from a 6" ball. Making the upper and lower halves in fibreglass, over the ball and adding together once cured, and popped off.Working out where to remove the view port and side pieces that will eventually house the control rockets, and then gave it a second layer of glass from the inside.
With this shot, (after 3 years) the front is close to finishing, and am now working on the side hand holes.
This is the third of my 2001 models, the first TMA 1, and the second 'Replacing the AE 35 unit'...all in 1/12th. This will be "Open the pod-bay doors Hal!" And, no...I'm not doing a 1/12 Discovery!

This is the ENCORE, 1/72 Su-27 Flanker. I won't say it was the easiest model to build, as the pins joining fuselage to wing are too small and need adding to. The model is accurate and just looking at it, one can tell it was designed by the same bloke who worked for G.M. with the Chevy Corvett/Stingray. I can't see it being computer designed, he may have had the idea while looking a beauties on a beach! There is one question I have though......on the wings, the leading edge slat and trailing flap (elevator) can be finished in the drooped position...is this to slow the airspeed, or what? Also, the air-brake behind the cockpit...used only for landing or?

Its funny, but I watch some programs just for the equipment. Two TV series and one movie come to mind.........
1. FarScape
2. Blakes' 7
3. Lost in Space (the movie)
Now, FarScape, I thought was childish! Blakes'7 was great if you were an insomniac and Lost in Space was total crud!!! but, the ships, well..that's a different matter!
Myra.beautiful!
Liberator. magnificant!!
and the Bubble fighter from Lost in Space, was brilliant! I won't go into Babylon 5, I drool too much.
This is Myra from FarScape, she (yes, she) is 21" long, at this point and I haven't added the tail and wings(?)
Construction is hollow fibreglass, and is now smooth overall ready for the extrenal detail.

Back to the FZG 76/11, and she isn't finished yet! Two months ago, I contacted the guys who make these models to send me the two canopies....not a whisper so far, have to see them at the PX in May. She's just shelved till then.

Back with the Antoinette, with the port side fully rigged. It even has an engine, actually its a 1/72 Benz 6 cylinder for a WW1 bomber...but it fit and looked right. Just thinking, with an engine that reliable, it could have crossed the channel!
This will be my second last entry, for about one month, I'm giving you a rest from me.

As promised, the last one for a while...the NAM B-25/6, as it will look. The only major modification is the 5' (3/4") length from the leading edge, extending the cockpit forward, for better visuals. Look out, Mighty 8th!

As you can see, I'm back with the Albatross from 'Lawrence'. This shows the starboard side finished, including the 'open' wheel. The wheel started as a clear disk, and E'green tubing around it as in the movie, the wheels are open.

Back with the DALEK saucer from 'Invasion of Earth'. The windows are now done on both levels, and at present, the skirting, below has now been added.

Love the saucer, Glenn! As I'm planning some projects that include saucers, I'd be most interested in more details as to how you put this together and what materials you used.

Brian, both dishes are fibreglass, the upper cylinder is PVC water pipe and the lower cylinder is also fibreglass. In between is MDF, 3mm marked and cut to shape and superglued in place. The windows are E'green tiles.
Todays photo is the Curtiss Sandpiper USN observation aircraft. Built from a RarePlanes Curtiss HellDiver. The float is from a Norseman.

Thanks for the info on your saucer, Glenn! I really like the look of that Sandpiper too!
