Dear Glenn, at http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,509.15.html I have directed people there to your Twin P-40 that seems very interesting for many people... Thanks again for it.

Tophe, its funny....but old models never die do they..or is that modelers? Anyhow, today we are on to another project. These two choppers are part of an on-going project that should involve a third model, an HU-01. I won't say what the project is as yet but by the next set of photos, you should work it out. The first model will be a 1/72 template, but will eventually re-work them in 1/48.

 Uh? Will your newproject be a single helicopter with parts from 3 sources? Or even better/crazier: a coumpound linking 3 hélicopters into a 3-rotor machine? (I have seen a 3-view of this from MiL Soviet designer, but I do not find it again, sorry). Anyway, your own project seems very interesting, please tell us more. ;D

Tophe, the choppers will be a long way off! But today, I've finished my B-36C When the B-36B's were to be updated, the C model was being constructed. Half way through construction, it was decided to continue with the 'pushers' but to add the jet pods at the wing tips for the added power on take-offs. These became the D's, as seen in the James Stewart movie, "S.A.C."

Scale : 1/144

Nice and surprising from a pusher basis (what-if as less unusual than the "real thing"). That gives me an idea: building a XP-55 as non-canard with forward-wing and rear tailplanes, more "normal"... Thanks for this idea.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

When Dassault produced their Mirage 111 back in 1960 it caused loads of interrest. Some countries couldn't pay for this wonderfighter so Dassault produced a smaller version of the Mk.111. This 2/3rd model, powered by a turbo-prop engine was an instant hit, with third world nations, as seen here.

Model : Matchbox Mirage 111 tweeked a bit!

He-he-he! (laughing from Dassault's home country)
Good "improvement" (both commercial and designing)

We're back with the Barkley Grow and now it has a tailplane. The elevators are on, as we speak and then it will be the tails.

This is an Eastern European wooden model of the 'Golden Hind'. It does have plastic parts but is basicly wood. The scale is 1/75 and I started it 'cause while at my first 'Bear social', a guy I was talking to told me he was working on a wooden model of a boat. I haven't seen him since, now a lot of the Bears know I'm a modeler! Oh joy!! I started her in February, and it's now July and I haven't finished the Port hull. Queen Liz would have had me hanged, drawn and quartered by now.....thank god it's only a model!

Yowsa! This is one of my all-time favorites of yours, Glenn! Nice to see someone building some of the alternate proposals. I recently picked up an ancient Revell box scale B-36 on the cheap and what I do with it will make the kit collectors squirm.

Got any more shots of this beauty?

Glenn

Brian, I'll shoot her in the air, when I set up my 'ground to air' stand, along with a few others. That old Revell B-36 is scaled at 1/187.6, if you're interested?
Today, another shot of the Wespe, a rear view this time.

Brian, what about a B-36 'push-pull'.....now, that would be different?
Glenn

Tophe

Your improved B-36 made me dream, thanks a lot Glenn  : the 4 different Twin-Peacemakers at http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,20326.420.html are not plastic though, just drawings.

A 12 engine B-36? Yowsa! I'd love to see it!

;D This could be a half "push-pull Twin-Peacemaker" from my topic. But we are here to celebrate Glenn's models, maybe it is not appropriate that I draw and include it here
