Zac sent me a Tamiya P-51D last week. I decided to pimp it up, by doing a modern P-51. I fitted an ejection seat, and a PT-6 turboprop. I removed the bump under the fuselage (turbocharger?), and fitted some slightly upwards turned wingtips

Here is where im at now:

The "bump" on the P-51 belly is the radiator, also the P-51 did not have a turbocharger.
The V-1650 Packard Merlin used in the P-51B/C/D/K Mustang had a two-stage, two-speed mechanically driven supercharger.
