Thanks all ya'll Actually the gun bulges are bombs . I think from an F-18. It is the only dark blue sprue I can remember having. I could only bring a small percentage of my misc. parts stash.

 EF ME I had just PSR'ed again and sprayed her with primer, I saw a helicopter flying past the motel ,I spun around to grab the camera, bumped the table and

Not only did the fall rip the wing off it busted the top seam

AND the bottom seam

I am so effin pissed of and depressed

And I didn't even get the pic of the chopper

Awwww cr4p - sorry to hear that, mate.

Look on the bright side - it hasn't affected the major PSR you've done on the nose, and the joints that have broken will require only minor filling.

And helicopters? Spawn of Satan - I nearly got brained by a Russian cop for pointing a camera at a perfectly ordinary Mil-8 flying by many years ago. They don't fly you know: they're just so ugly that the earth rejects them, so it'd probably have broken your camera if you had got the shot...

Yeah, I've cursed when I bumped something and one of my projects got trashed.  Much swearing ensues.  That just hurts, man.  At least the seams just cracked, and as Weaver said, you can fill them easily enough.  It could be worse, you could have lost the nose and all that PSR work you did.  I would have made the model Actually fly at that point.  At least you still have the parts, and the work is minimal to repair.  It still hurts the sanity, for certain.

Yeah after I got over being upset and had a beverage or 8 I glued and puttied everything back together. I'll PSR after work.

Everything is back together and PSR'd a couple of times


I still don't have the lower seam completely repaired

But the top seam is looking ok

The nose blending is looking sweet

And the gun bulges look cool

I still have to blend the wing joint smoother

Mmmm fun... gotta love when things refuse to smooth out properly.  Looking good on the repair work so far.  The nose blend is good, so are the gun bulges definately.  Keep it up man.

Yeah, the fit of the gear doors looks hauntingly familiar from the Migina 1.....

However, if the last picture is drawing attention to the asymetric tailplane roots then STOP: step AWAY from file, because it's actually right! Strange but true, MiG-15s really do only have an elevator trim tab on one side. The MiG-9's the same, and it threw me too until I looked it up.

Probably best to PM a Mod to get the thread moved.

Thanks Weaver  I was actually referring to the huge gap between the tailplanes and the root fillet :banghead:What is the extra trim tab for as torque steer does not seem to be present on jets?
