RAF F/A-23C 'Pink Widow' as used during the Gulf War. The 'C' model differs from the earlier 'A' in having a stretched forward fuselage, giving a weapons bay able to accomodate a larger weapon load - in this case a pair of AGM-84ER SLAMer missiles.

Italeri kit - 1" fuselage stretch made by inserting a section cut from another F-23 kit

Murphy's 2nd Law - An object in motion will be going in the wrong direction
Murphy's 3rd Law - For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction

Beautifully done Martin, as such a handsome aircraft deserves!

I really wish they had picked that one.  >:(

Nicely done.  You did an excellent job with the fuselage stretch.  I like this one.

Nice smooth transition on the stretch nose.  Looks very nice, and seamless transfer.  Much applause to be had there.

Next stop, a short-nose striker designed for striking armor, perhaps a Laser-guided AGM like the Maverick or the Hellfire would be a good idea, drop it out the bay, have it acquire in flight and track the target.  Would allow for lowest detectability, good rear-echelon hitter perhaps, or for striking protected armored convoys.  Who knows.

Very nice!!

I've been trying very hard to get an F-23 lately, with no luck.  Seeing this just makes me want one even more!!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Sauragnmon

Yeah, I'm going to get my hands on one of them too, got plans to do it up in a scheme I saw in Ace Combat Zero, just too damn cool not to want to do the scheme.

Nice one.

I have the italeri one I scored at a swap meet a couple of years back. Detail is a bit soft but I think the application of RAAF roundels will improve the overall look.
