Rafael,

It might be more economical to attempt vacu-forming instead of casting a resin copy.

Wow.  This is like watching whiff porn--you just can't take your eyes off it!

Thanks, Noxious!!!

Jeff, Vacform should do the trick too, I'll keep it in mind. Now where's that vacuum cleaner?......

Well, so far so good. Keep in mind that this is a learning experience for me, since I never made anything with this cross section technique with any measurable success before.

Thanks, my friends!!!

This turned out to be a steep learning curve. First, bondo, enamel, and other materials I had at hand ate every piece of scrap foam I had. The solution was to apply a layer of white glue to seal my foam, and it worked like a charm, except for the rear upper fuselage edge which acquired a nasty upward bend, and was eaten where I missed the white glue application. Anyways, I left it to dry and started cutting the lower fuselage, in which I had to draw the intakes and exhausts for the normal jet engines. Note that the aircraft is still missing the scramjet section which extends even lower from the center-rear fuselage.

So far, so good. No losses that can't be repaired.

Slapped together, no wings and no scramjet:

Back with a vengeance showing off another amazing project to stunn the masses, Rafa! I really like the shape of this bird...looks like it's going ultra-supersonic just sitting there!

You've got the eye of an artist and a sculptor, mi amigo!

Thanks, Scott. If my model vaguely resembles yours, that's a very big compliment

BUMP!!!

I've been very busy these last weeks, and this model has been gathering dust since last year. Well, Ive taken it on again. I cut the wings planform, just two big triangles, slapped together upper and lower fuselage with the wings sandwiched between and bondo-filled the upper wing tapering from root to wingtip using a simple screeding with a straight piece of plastic. Tomorrow, mo' PSR. Next, the vertical surfaces and scramjets
