Number Three just redefines the name AirBus.  Though it would have been better with the high mount tail engines so they didn't seem to drag.  Talk about ground effect wings though...

Now here's another laugh, although Vickers were serious about this one:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I like that triple and double body concept. It would be even cooler if they kept the cockpit windows for "observation decks"

Let us not forget Northrop's airliner derivative of the B-49 with an interior that looks more like a theatre than an airliner, nad you have to love that lounge in the rear.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

A Dash-8 series 200 in my own markings.   It'll get the family anywhere we'd want to go...see Prevost Motorhomes for certain amenities.     737's, CRJ-700's don't go quite everywhere we'd like.   Just make sure either the Rolls Royce Phantom or the Rubicon 4 door are waiting.
