Built this after a profile posted on ARC and can viewed here http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=130242&st=980

Just scroll down the page, you can't miss it.

Decals mostly supplied by Paul Parkes of Parkes682Decals fame and he can be contacted via the Britmodeller site. Crosses from my 1/48 Esci Alpha jet

Excellent!  These "Red Baron" redux builds often look a little comical, but not yours.  Very well done!

I've got a real soft spot for historic schemes on modern aircraft and I really like your work on this beauty, Liam!!! You nailed it to perfection, especially with your choice of red!

Outstanding!!!

Thanks guys. A lot of credit must go to J Burch from the ARC / Britmodeller forum for the original side profile as noted in my first post. I loved the scheme and contacted him and he gave me the go-ahead to make it.

As for the colors: the upper surfaces and fuselage are Jasta Red, the underneath is Fokker Tourquoise and the nose and fin top are Off-White. All are genuine WW1 German colors and were supplied by Mister Kit. I did have problems with the tourquoise as it didn't seem to like the sealant I used. It cracked like the desert floor in Death Valley!! Third time was the charm.

I might try something similar , but with a few 1/72 Eurofighters and maybe a Phantom as well...

Again, thanks for the kind words

Liam

I really like this!  You need to post it in ARC too along with JBurch's Profile because this is very well done
