The Walther P-38 is a nice pistol, had one for a good while until the lock developed a crack, had the eagle stamped on it so it could of been dodgy heat treatment, its age or hot loads or all 3 for that matter, fitted a new one and then sold it, bought a CZ-75 after that, now that is a nice pistol plus it fitted my hand nicely.
Before handguns got banned in the UK I had at one time or another the Weather, CZ-75, a Vostok, S&W model 586, S&W model 10, Tokarev TT, Drulov free pistol, Erma PPK lookalike and a Erma Luger lookalike, had just developed a very sweet load for the Model 10 just before the ban.

My condolences on the completely ungodly ban on weaponry you suffer under >:( The CZ is also one of my favorite autoloaders

There were several companies producing CZ-75 and clones, had a few go through the gun shop where I was working at one time or another, all were nice but just did not draw me to them like my P5.

As far as the ban goes, until the same happens over here, you are more than welcome to stop by and fondle my double brace of No.4 Mk I/II Enfields and whatever else tickles your fancy :)

Oh my I'm all aflutter ;D Seriously, we seem to be of the same mind on this subject. I hope that you mean I am welcome to fondle your weaponry UNTIL THEY TRY TO TAKE THEM AWAY FROM US. Because ,obviously ,as a law abiding citizen you would immediately give up all your guns when the gov't comes to take them

Ron,

It's the Korobov TKB408 put up by Steve (I think) a couple of pages back.

I will be taking up gardening as my new hobby when that day finally comes.  The EPA might wonder why my daily application of a light machinery oil to my crops is necessary but I am sure that I can come up with a good explanation as to my reason for oiling my garden :)

There's a nice pic of Maverick in the Whiffer Self Picture thread, holding an Aug.

Yeppers, that one was at Avalon in 05.  It had an NVD mounted in place of the standard scope and it was, quite simply, brilliant.  The usual grainy, blurry pics you see of older NVDs have nothing on this new kit.  I could read the fine print on a poster set on the back wall.  All the AUGs were very compact as one would expect and felt natural enough for the shoulder, although, once again, mag changes are an issue.  The 203 added however just felt really off balance and odd.

I also managed to fondle the M4/Masterkey combo which was just super.

I'm going to have to ask for an internal schematic of that one. I just can't picture how they get the cartridges from that FAR in the back towards where the ejection port it. I don't see any room behind the magazine for a spring or lever or whatever.

Anyone know the answer????????

Arc3371

No schematic but this is what is said about the guns operation

"The TKB-022 assault rifle is gas-operated weapon with annular gas piston located around the barrel. To achieve minimum length, it is assembled into bull-pup configuration and uses vertically sliding bereech block (bolt), rather than traditional and most common bolt that cycles back and forth. Since the movement of the bolt (breechblock) in this design cannot be used to extract, eject and load cartridges, Korobov developed a special U-shaped rammer / extractor, that strips the frech cartridge from magazine, pushes it into the chamber, then, after the discharge, pulls the fired cartridge case back from the chamber. Upon feeding the next fresh cartridge, the fired case is pushed forward and slightly up, into the ejection chute above the barrel. Spent cases finally fell off the gun above the muzzle. Gun was capable of full- and semi-automatic fire, with combined safety / fire mode selector switch located above the trigger on the left side of the gun. The gun housing was made from reddish-brown plastic, with metall structure hidden inside."
