That's looking good - even though I have doubts concerning the width difference between round fuselage and relatively narrow engine in real life or 3D? I have successfully grafted a P-51 Mustang nose onto an A6M, though, this worked well. The DB 605further above could work, too.

Makes me, on the other side, wonder about a Yak-1/-3/-7/-9 with a Merlin?
