I'm building a what if "Super" F-104 in 1/48.

Will post some photos of this project in the next future.

But this project has generated a son: the MINI F-104....

This little Starfighter is built using the spare pieces left apart during the building process of the Super F-104:

Nice job of contour blending!  Is your Super-Starfighter going to have twinned engines (something I've been trying to figure out how to do for awhile)?

Love the short look for the Starfighter. It's definitely going in both my "Why didn't I think of that?" and my "I'm stealing this idea." piles. Great work blending as well. Please keep us updated.

This thing is going to look very hot!  Maybe twin engines?  DIfferent wings?  Maybe a bit more span than a "normal" Starfighter?  Maybe a "Mud Mover" a la A-10?  How 'bout a 2-seater?

The project is in stall... the initial idea was for a F-104 mated with a lot of pieces from the F-16 but now after some work the result is not as I want.
