after doing a number of review kits, it is time for something fun !

The LEI , the Airforce's premier wild weasel, designed especially for low altitude electronic interception.

(and yes, Leigh, if you are reading this, you know what colour it is going to be ! )

This looks interesting.

As always, I know we're in for a treat! ;D ;D
Look behind you!

His mind was a blur, falling 20.000 feet in a few moments, a controlled dive. The F-19 hugged him like a glove, man and machine combined as one, seeking out the radar installations of the enemy.
The first wave of F-22's was only a few minutes behind him, the job was to "wild weasel" the missiles and anti-aircraft artillery that could possibly shoot them down, and then go after the airborne guidance systems. He was invisible, a Ghost Rider. Even the Raptor could not boast the zero lock on that the Frisbee had...none lost in combat, ever.
No metal for the frame, and a colour that would have made most pilots say "Hell NO !", the 19 was the premier Low Altitude  Electronic Interceptor ever created.
Jimbo could deal with the pink hues, as long as the mission was done at the end of the day...not too many other pilots could boast of his track record.

If only it was a two-holer, then you could have the G.I.B. with only one arm and no larynx.... ;D
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Greg,

I hope you opt for the clear canopy that has no frames.  It looks so much better than that traditional windscreen thing.

Haven't decided yet, I do actually like the angled canopy, but in the modern world, it wouldn't make much sense.

Just a personal bias towards that particular option in the kit.  It restricts visibility and looks like it was taken from an SR-71, F-102, or F-106.  Now if you could find a way to  simulate the gold metal coating used on the EA-6B that would be most excellent.  Are you going to stick with the AGM-65 load or have you considered something more exotic?

Yowsa Mr Cthulhu! The beginning of your backstory already has me on the edge of my seat! It reminds me of "Red Storm Rising". I'm going to really enjoy watching you put this one together!
