OOPS! I really shouldn't try to trim a vac formed canopy whilst still suffering the after effects of a migraine. I have rather over done it....I need another canopy otherwise the Avro is doomed!

Oh dear-I seem to have had a competence bypass  :banghead:
the clear resin undercarriage is a tad brittle!-nothing I can't fix though......

Colin did say that the production versions would be made of a different material. I can see why.

Now fixed by modelling it wheels up!

Hi Van,
We will be using a new experimental resin on the production kits, its called white metal!!! Hope you got the vac canopies ok.

Canopies just arrived-I will be VERY careful with them!

At last some progress. Work and life in general (and a pathological hatred of vac form canopies) has slowed progress!

Nice work Van, looks like the canopy fitted afterall?! Look forward to seeing the finished job.

lots of filler in order to fair in the canopy!

Progress has been a little delayed by being very busy with work etc. But it will be finished soon.

Looking good Van , good to see you're doing the camo version as I'm having a crack at the NMF proto, should make a nice comparison on the table!!

Know what you mean about the canopy, it is a bit oversize as Col says , think I'll wait for the resin one before committing to primer ;D, though got nothing to lose by playing around with it!!

few pics of build so far,

Clearly, Field Marshal Haig is about to make yet another gargantuan effort to move his drinks cabinet six inches closer to Berlin.

Overall this has been fun to build, I still need practice with resin though, as I found one or two bits quite fragile...Firestreak fins and the pitot tube being examples!
This kit is very good value for money when compared to other resin kits , and it has some beautifully printed decals. I would recommend it to anyonewith even a moderate amount of skill.
I look forward to seeing General Melchet's-somehow I think it will knock the spots off mine!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That looks very nice indeed - well done!
