Brilliant stuff Kit,

i have to say that Arc discussion was almost funny.  The guy seriously got his nose out of joint for a hypothetical.  Gotta love 'serious' modellers I guess.

Just to make things clear, this bit only talks about the model, the 'real', for want of a better term, history is here

and it goes on and on and on....... -_-
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit, go straight to the head of the class, they are superb! Dare I say, legends in the making? Although it sounds as though your PR19 already is!

Arc?  That figures...  Of course, the Falklands war was all OUR (ie Britain) fault, according to those buggers.

Reason I don't go there too often anymore Lee, got tired of it.

I have to leap to ARC's defense here lads, because they certainly stood up for me that day. The original griper only joined to make his complaint, it was his first post of two. His previous PM to me was less conciliatory than his ARC post. The regulars over there tried to remain polite whilst taking him to task, then the mods jumped in and tore a strip off his backside. He hasn't been back.

A few months later there was a Falklands thread that got out of hand, but only because of a few troublemakers. Steve Bamford and the moderators tried to convince people that it was a legitimate subject for modeling, but it eventually led to some very harsh words and a locked thread. The few spoiling it for the many...  >:(

Today, April 1st, the PR19 got the ultimate accolade.

Chris Pocock, 'Mr. U-2' himself, posted an item about the PR19 on his 'Dragon Lady' web site, which is all about the U-2 usually. He came to Telford last year, to find me and the PR19s amongst other things, and we had a cracking chat about it, and his item today, appropriately, was the result.

And he even quoted Kit's first 2 Rules of Whiffery. ;D

Okay, so that's spooky: I've literally just watched a video by The Chieftain about an April Fool article he wrote eleven years ago, which has come back to haunt him in much the same way as the PR.19 has for Kit:

The Chieftain gets PR.19'd:

What fun? Hilarious.

Seriously are any of the Eastern European manufacturers doing a limited run PR19 Kit in 1/72?
