Should've been a whif...

So is the Prone pilot Meatbox released by MPM or Special Hobby, or both? It'll be interesting to see how much it costs in the UK once Big H get their hands on it....
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Try Aviation Hobby Shop.  They seem to be the cheapest for Czech stuff at the moment -  the two in one Isreali/Egyptian Spitfire 9 was the cheapest at Telford on their stand.

Good thinking Lee, thanks. I always forget AHS, but it's a great place even if it does mean fighting your way through the London outskirts to get there.

Special Hobby is just a MPM label kit. Most "MPM" kits come out as Special Hobby now. The few recent MPM boxings have been with all the "bells and whistles" if memory is right.

It's like AZ and Admiral - same company different labels. They at least origionaly had a logic to the 2 marques but that seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks to the Big Gimper for the heads up.

I have plans for at least one

Sweeeet! And if it is just for the engine nacelles...

Mossie

Unicraft do those.  Mind you, it won't cost that much more for the Meteor, plus you get an airframe to have a bit of fun with.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Wooksta!

If you just want the engines, Unicraft have it as a conversion in Igor's 72nd range.  As far as Unicrap go, it's usable, although there's no locator pins or even a hint as to where the engines fit to the wing.

Although given Unicraft prices and the shockingly abysmal and tragically dreadful quality of the resin and casting, it may be better getting the MPM one and cutting it up.

Edit: Mossie beat me to it.

That just doesn't look right to me.  I tell you one thing though, all that complaining about Unicraft casting quality is getting old.

The Wooksta!

If by complaining I save just one modeller from enduring the horrors and wallet emptying abilities of Unicraft, then it's worth doing.
