Hmmn Lightning, Canberra and late make Spits & Seafires appear to have dissappeared off the current plans, and focus appears to be wartime types.

If anyone on this forum ever gets a chance to got to Prague, make sure to visit the MPM shop. It's full of models from floor to ceiling and they cost three times less than in our regular model shops! I went there in 2001 and I had a ball! (not to mention the other plastic model shops...)

Ah the Prague "Golden Triangle"  ;D

Unfortunately times have moved on and although whilst still cheaper then UK prices they are no longer "that" cheap. Still great value though

MPM have a 1/72 Gloster Meteor Mk.III on the cards, first kit of a wartime Meatbox in that scale for many years IIRC.  I've got the Xtrakit boxings of the T.7 & F.8, should be pretty good if they're anything to go by.  It's not cheap (£20), but hopefully Hannants (Xtrakit) or Airfix will release it as with the F.8.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Looking forward to this one and Dragon have one coming as well, although it's a penny shy of £27 !. Would like to see a new F.4 as well. As for Xtrakit releasing it ? I wouldn't have thought so after the problems with a previous Xtrakit release. I can stil remember the Hannants site and it's "this will not happen again" comment

The recent Xtrakits have been produced by Sword I think. Nor sure if they all have but you can normally tell from the typical Sword shiny plastic.

I think that was due to Airfix releasing the F.8 at about half the price of the Xtrakit!  I'm not sure if that caused Hannants & MPM to fall out, the Airfix F.8 didn't stay on the shelves long.

I think the problem was that Hannants thought they had exclusive use of the tooling ??

I think you're right, although I think the rights were shared with MPM allowing them to release kits under their own label.  When Airfix released the same kit at a much lower price, Hannants had a fit.  I'm not privvy to the actual arrangements, but with the message that Hannant's put on the website & the speed with with which the Airfix kit was withdrawn, I'd guess that MPM had overstepped the mark.

Hannants had stumped up half the cash for the research and the tooling, so it's hardly surprising that they were somewhat annoyed.

Not sure of the scale but rumours of a series of Meteors and a Javelin from Airfix on Britmodeller via someone on ARC.

Not at that price.  I'll stick with the Xtrakit one - same kit, half the price!

G'day Gang,

Here's a review of the new Turbinelite Havoc over at IPMS Deutschland.  Looks like a corker of a kit with a shed load of extra bits beyond the baseline version.
