Try Aviation Hobby Shop.  They seem to be the cheapest for Czech stuff at the moment -  the two in one Isreali/Egyptian Spitfire 9 was the cheapest at Telford on their stand.

And 10% discount for IPMS members, don't forget.  Use it or lose it!!

I'd converted an Airfix Meteor III to a I a while ago and had contemplated converting it further to the Trent Meteor using a Unicraft set having acquired a Dragon Meteor I (I've also built an Airfix III and a F.3).  At the moment I'm tempted to get the MPM kit and flog off the Dragon kit to pay for it, and accept the deficiencies in my Airfix conversion.

Let us know what it's like Chris.  Tempted to get one myself.

Speaking of temptation, anyone caught sniff of reviews of the Special Hobby Seafire FR.47?

Britmodeller has a MPM thread where they announce their projects from the whole MPM stable, some interesting items coming up:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I've got and built the Magna kit of the Gloster  ;D

Mossie & all,

From Wikipedia:

"However, compared to its contemporaries, test pilots found the F.5/34 prototypes had a shorter takeoff, better initial climb, were more responsive and manoeuvrable due to ailerons that did not become excessively heavy at high speed. Handling was considered very good and the all-round cockpit visibility was far better than the other designs."

Oh man, that is just SCREAMING for Whiffing!  A bird which was better than the Hurricane - if not the Spit as well - but didn't get the nod?  Oh yeah, that has definitely got potential for all manner of imaginings....

And, it's in THE ONE TRUE SCALE to boot!  Huzzah!
Wherever you go, there you are!

Got to admit, it's tempting, especially since I've picked up the new Airfix Gladiator.  It's just so different to the Hurricane and Spit.

I can see in my minds eye the early version in night/white undersides and a later version with a slight stretch, larger fin, Hercules engine and a blown canopy.  Maybe a radial would suit a naval version, if the Admirality had been more open to single seaters earlier?

Soooooo looking forward to their AH-1 Cobras!  A decent new AH-1G in the One True ScaleTM! Finally!  :drink:
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

The AZ one has just appeared on Hannants which looks to be a rather poor subject choice with MPM about to issue theirs  :banghead:. Reviews and comparisons should be interesting reading

Somewhere, it's in Colombian colours during their invasion of Panama along with the Mexicans. I'll see if I can find them and put them on PB
