Picked up a 1/72 Zevzda Mi-26 Halo this afternoon from the LMS, just need that new decals sheet now

How much was it Steve?  Hannants have upped the RRP to 25 quid, same as the Revell boxing :o

Fantatic MAM, great result!  Even cheaper than you mention, 33 cents each!  I keep scouring the classifieds in my local paper to see if anyones letting go of an old stash but I've never seen anything.  The only thing I've seen in three years is someone wanting rid of an Airfix 1/72 Concorde, but he wanted the asking price for it.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Unfortunatley I'm in the UK but thanks anyway!

You can usually pick up something interesting at the various model & airshows!

Xtrakit 1/72 Gloster Meteor T.7 from Monk Bar models in York.  The plan is to turn this into a real world Meteor 'T.71/2' operated by Martin Baker for ejection seat trials.  MB are still operating two of them now, WA638 & WL419.  They've been slated for retirement for years, but they haven't yet found an aircraft that's better suited!

With all the killer airshows that go on at Heathrow and all that :)

I certainly hope there is never going to be any airshow at Heathrow. Imagine 10 airliners trying to take-off or land within each minute, all during military displays :o

Purchased from the local emporium a 1/72 Academy F-8E Crusader for a real world project, very nice kit, knocks spots of the others in that scale.

Just received the Silver Cloud Hawker P1154 resin kit from Colin of Frieghtdog yesterday.

Excellent kit, massive improvement over the earlier inaacurate Maintrack Vacform. Resin is produced by Anigrand so there are the odd air bubbles in the details but in general the parts are clean and crisp, with the minimal of puring lugs and test fitting shows clean joins with the minimal of gaps.

Well done Colin

Cheers

From ebay:

1. Cheap new air compressor. Need a hose before I can test it though.

2. Two 1/72nd Polikarpov I-16 Type 24s.... Unknown Russian manufacturer, no boxes and no decals, £4.00 including postage... Quality not too terrible: bit of flash and a few sink marks (like old Airfix) and moulded in tasteful bright green plastic. Thinking that one of them might acquire the BMW VI cowling from an He-70.....

Hya Weaver,
what fitting is the air hose, is it the same as a badger one? if so I can send you a spare one of those I don't need.
Let me know what it is like.

It's not the same as my Badger one. I think it's 1/4 BSP although the very thin manual says 1/8th BSP. Same ebay trader (Simpletwotrade) also does reasonably priced hoses and adaptor kits so it's not a problem, thanks. I'm going to have a nosey in Hobbycraft on Friday to sort out what's what and then I'll buy something.
