a Bandai "UC Hardgraph" MS Platoon Briefing set.  Huge box and largish M353A4 hover-truck inside along with some troopies and other accessories.

Mav

Hi Mav
thats a great kit, I've got 2 in the stash waiting to get built and the fat fella reminds me of Goeing  ;-)

Courtesy of evilBay and some nice chap from the UK, an Airfix 1/48 Spitfire F22/24. Tomorrow should see the arrival of a 1/48 Tamiya Nakajima A6M2-N Rufe floatplane as a parts donor.

Now, what could become of these two?   :o
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Acquired from the main man himself Thorvic,
1/72nd scale Italeri YF-12. Not sure what, if any modifications it will have, maybe upgrade the armament and give it an upto date low vis paint scheme. It could possibly be made into a trans-atmospheric interceptor.

From the SIG meet

Hobbyboss 1/72 Eurofighter Typhoon (this has 1 week GB written all over it)

I'd take it back to the shop, Nev..... if some b*gger has scrawled on it, there may be parts missing too !

* * * * * *

Finally got a Hasegawa 1:48 Zero 21 (from eBay), going to be RW but VERY colourful...... so what shade/colour is that IJN Animo grey, again ?

Yesterday was a glorious day in Southern England. From the Big H via the man in the red van (and only one week inc. a Bank Hol  ;D)

2 1/72 scale AZ Model Spiteful's   One is the standard boxing with 4 markings for 4 of the real ones and the other is the "What If" boxing with the SEAC, RAF post war, Finnish and Dutch versions.

From talking to Mike on Saturday I know there are some fit issues, instrument panel needs to be trimmed to fit, but that tends to be standard for a lot of limited run kits for some reason (do they forget the thickness of the plastic side walls ?)  :banghead: , but otherwise it looks ok. Not many parts so hopefully should get built in the next couple of weeks

Also got a Ventura sheet of RNZAF "Kiwi" national markings, both red/blue tactical and full colour. I have some plans for these in my post war scenario circa 1948/1950.

Trust you to start that one off  From the piece of fuselage I've seen at the Pear Harbour museum I go with the caramel shade of opinion. However as I always say "we all see colours differently, and men definitely see different ones then women  :banghead:" I'm happy with the White Ensign paint shade.

This morning the light was blocked out as the box containing the Trumpy TU-95 eclipsed the sun, whilst being manhandled against the wind, Mr Postie was not impressed one bit, but I was so thats ok :blink:Cheers Bungle!!
Also on the same delivery came my HU-16 from Jschmus, and several other surprises were enclosed in the box. A squadron book on the HU-16, some rocket pods and....yes and, an MPC F-84D, how brilliant is that!!
BIG BIG thankyou's go out to both Bungle and Jschmus for putting a big kid smile on my face today.
Cheers,
Chris.

I think Jason's sending you a message to bash the HU-16 with the F-84!!! ;D
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
