Arrived from the big H after a very anxious 10 day wait - one A-Model LA250 Anakonda. It'll be done for the Telford theme as an in service machine doing the same job as Tupoloev's 'Fiddlers' did.

Is it any good? My Firebar is horribly moulded, but photos of their newer kits seem really nice. The La250 is one that I'd like to get, but I'm hesitant due to the quality of the casting...

It doesn't look too bad. I'm expecting it to be along the lines of thier kits and be a typical limited run moulding,  but I'lll let you know when I've had a proper look

Yep - I was going to nick the turret to put on a 1/72nd Marder, the Revell 1/76th one being just a shade too small. However, mucking about in the attic, I picked up my small box of 1/87th minitanks, which includes Marders and a Luchs: the Luchs turret goes straight on the Marder and looks excellent. Now that in itself isn't a whiff (the Argentine VCTP is essentially a Marder with a Luchs turret), but it is when you give it the Revell Puma's 50mm....

Went by the LHS and noticed a Hase UH-60 'VIP Hawk' on sale for $8.  When I got it home and opened it up I was pleasantly surprised to find a fullset of tanks and Hellfires.  Only the decals make it a VIP version.

I also broke down and ordered the new Airifx Hawks from Mr. Hannant.  To bring the order up to the minimum amount for overseas orders I also got an Airfix Fokker F-27, a RoG 1/144 F-19, and an Italeri Mangusta.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

ChernayaAkula

Also succumbed to that virus named Hawkitis airfixius going round in all the forums lately. Bought a pair of Airfix Hawks on evilBay. Both are the 1xx variety. One will be the real life demonstrator (sexy bird!), the other will probably end up as Richard's RAAF "Godzilla!" helo-hunter. CLICKY!

<...> and an Italeri Mangusta.

They really need to do an updated one with the gun! Seriously!
