My Airfix Club kit arrived today, Seafire, Wildcat and Swordfish all in 1/72.  Also from my friend Steve Gardner (via Telford), from Heritage Aviation, Dart Dakota conversion, Nimrod u/c set, Buccanner S1 intakes, and a Harrier T.2 nose+canopy (for an up-coming what-if I've been thinking about) and from Whirlybirds, Chinook rotor blades, lastly M&E Models Lancastrian conversion, all in 1/72.

From ebay:

Hobbycraft 1/144th scale F-15: thought the canopy would solve a problem but it doesn't - still, no tears for £3.00 inc. postage.

Italieri 1/172nd UH-1C Gunship. The helo will be "Scoutised" as discussed. I had the impression that it had 7-round FFAR pods which I was going to use on my single-seat Magister, but in fact it's got 19-round ones, clearly visible on the box art, so I must have had a brainstorm....

From ebay: ACE 1/72nd ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun.

Probably "technical" fodder.........

From ebay, Airfix 1/72nd Severn class lifeboat, for £6.00!!!!!! Even with nearly £4.00 postage, that's still a considerable improvement on the £18.00 list price.  :drink:  (Advantages of going on ebay at odd times when not many people are bidding).

Had a quick look at it this morning: blimey there's a lot of detail in it! The only thing wrong is that the decal sheet has been rubbed a little in the box, but since the intention is to Sovietize it into a KGB Border Guard vessel, I couldn't care less.....

Think I should have re-phrased that a bit Geoff , just the Harrier T.2 nose is going for the what-if, a scale-a-rama for a larger Harrier.

Aww, shame, I really wanted to see that!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

From the LHS:

2 x Airfix 1/72nd Saracen APCs, to be grafted together into one articulated "Crossley Caterpillar", the spare engine being used to make a Saladin into an 8x8 "Crossley Crusader".

1 x JB Bedford 4-tonner. I thought I could put my Zu-23-2 on the back of this, but it turns out the soft top is moulded in one piece with the body and can't be easily removed. Now contemplating a half-track conversion....

Because it is a beautiful aircraft and beautiful kit:  1/72 Academy F-8E Crusader
Because it is a georgous aircraft and splendid kit:   1/72 RoG Hawker Hunter F.6

,
Daryl J., going on a purchasing hiatus until things stabilize but that should prove to be good for building again.

You go into a shop to buy just a single paint and what happens - You get accosted by a kit that screams 'Take me home dammit!!' What do you do??

From TAHS at West Drayton, Zvezda MiG21Bis. Nice looking little kit! A bottle of Lifecolor Intermediate Blue and a bottle of thinner.
