Has someone actually done a kit of one of these in 1/72nd scale?
Cheers
Chris

I've a suspicion some outfit is Chris, Model Alliance has got a 1/72 sheet out which includes a Sentinel and when I quizzed Model Alliance and Hannants about it, all I got was a very vague answer which didn't say anything, and actually Model Alliance didn't even bother to acknowledge my email.

Cheers Robert,
That is not a very good way to do business in these times, especially in a declining niche market(customer wise) as modelling.
I like the look of the aircraft, and in 1/72nd scale it would make a nice addition to my stash.

The differences between a G-IV and a Challenger and a Global Express is the same as the differences between a 737-300 and a 737-700  I wouldn't make that mistake

... I DID say in a dark room........ <sigh>
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Wings are almost done: winglets, top surface rescribed, flap guides:

Engines: RR Tay + loads of Milliput = BR710

tail is getting there, fuselage sprayed to find surface defects:

It's almost time for painting this thing. This is what it's supposed to look like:

I think this is RAF Barley Gray (Humbrol 167), is that correct?

Isn't Camouflage Grey and Barley Grey two different colours Geoff ?

EDIT:  Just found an answer, but I thought they were different before the names being changed.

Your thinking of Dark Camo Grey Hu 156 as thats the darker colour, Barley Grey became Camouflage Grey Hu167.

Actually I was thinking Hu 28, Camouflage Grey.  At least that's what's it's called in the Humbrol 'Colour Systems' book.

 :banghead:

Just when I thought I'm almost done: fitting the wings, tailplanes and engines to the fuselage is turning out to be a nightmare. Without locator pins, there are so many ways to get it wrong that I've now removed one of the wings for the third time (doing more damage each time). Installing the first wing isn't too much of a problem. Getting the other one in place and symmetrical is proving  :banghead:

I'm now glueing bits of sprue to the fuselage as scaffolding, to make sure the wing goes where it's supposed to...

Today, I was able to get the wing on straight.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

So am I  ;D

The major challenges/problems are out of the way, all that remains is fitting a few parts and decals (I've ordered the Nimrod decalsheet from Anigrand, since that has Sentinel decals on as well).

This will all be worth the effort in the end

Got the decalsheet today. Unfortunately the part of the sheet with the Sentinel decals had been neatly trimmed off. Emailed Arnold asking if I can please order the Sentinel decals...
