Here are a few pics of some of the things I have been working on lately.

Tamiya 1/48 scale V.W. Luftwaffe Staff car...

Opel Blitz fuel truck from the Academy 1/72 scale kit.

1/48 scale Luftwaffe start carts from Tamiya.

(I like this picture below)

Tamiya 1/48 scale Kettenkraftrads.

Next up will be a Schwimmwagon (in 1/72 scale) and a 1/48 scale Citreon Traction staff car, they might be done in a couple weeks. ;D

I can't wait for the warmth of the flames I will receive when I post the pics of the bug over at HS...tee hee.

Not sure which whiff a/c model I will do next, could be the Revell BV P-194 or the Huma Ta 283....its very tough to decide which one, ideas anyone?

Hi M.one
Been watching this and really like your take on the vehicles and stuff.
Sorry to hear about the disc, I`ll retry and send.
As to the models I`ve never seen a really good 283, but I did play with the Revell 194. I used two kits with a central cockpit and twin boom radials like the P38. But as a vote it`s the 283.
Cheers  :drink:

Matrix, you are the only one I know that can make mediocre items look stunning. I love the 'ambush' scheme on the VW It is simply superb!! But in saying that, the whole lot are superb@@ The camouflaging effect on the Kettenkraftrad is outstanding. Was that done with the Iwaata or the badger?  As ever I am in awe of your skills, they make mine look like a sausage fingered bacwoods yokel....

Thanks Gary, Jeff, and lancer!

Gary,
I am not sure if the disk is the problem or not, was the disk intended to be played in a DVD player or just a computer?

lancer,
I intended to paint these models with my Iwata HP-B but it was not working correctly so I switched to my trusty Badger 100G to paint them. I bought a second Iwata HP-B and it works perfectly, the problem with my first Iwata turned out to be an air leak between the airbrush body and the nozzle and adding some beeswax to the threads of the nozzle fixed the problem and it now works like it should.

NOTE TO ALL:

I just spoke with Dixie Art and asked them why their new catalog had very few Badger products in it, I was told Badger might be going out of business and Dixie Art has had such a tough time getting products from Badger lately that they might not carry that brand anymore. Very sad, Badger airbrushes are a very nice product and I would hate to see them fold.

This rumor was posted over at Swanny's board about a month ago and response was posted by the president of Badger....I'll paste it here:

Hello all, I am new to this forum and came here to simply respond to this inaccurate representation related to my company that is being posted in multiple forums.  I am Ken Schlotfeldt and I am the President of Badger Air-Brush Co.

The indications in this post, of which I do not know the posters sources, are false.  Plain and simple.  It is irresponsible of this forum to allow such harmful information to be communicated through the forum.

We have lead times, if dealers don't account for them and wait until they run out to order something yes they will be out of stock.  Not because of Badger's prodcution, but because of the dealers planning.  If you need anything Badger and your dealer does not have it, send me an email at kenbadger@aol.com I'll get it to you.

Take air,
Ken

Good job you posted the scales Matrix or it'd be impossible to tell what was 1/48th and what was 1/72nd: outstanding work!

p.s. Many brownie points to Ken of Badger for taking the trouble to respond straight and simple, rather than resorting to press releases from the corporate communications strategy: rumours only flourish in a vacuum of credible information.

Just a computer I think.

BlackOps,
Thanks for posting the statement by the president of Badger, I was not aware of any rumors of Badger going out of business when I called Dixie Art last night, I asked why their latest catalog had the section of Badger products nearly empty and was told they have been having trouble getting things from Badger and they might not sell that brand anymore and that the company is going through a difficult time right now and is in receivership. Where that information came from I have no idea.

Weaver,
Thanks for the comments! That Schwimmwagon that I am working on now is so tiny the quarter would crush it flat, I will have to use a dime when I take pictures of it for a size reference.

Gary,
Thanks, the problem is with my computer. For the past year I have not been able to watch DVDs on my computer, it won't spin them anymore. :( I will have to figure another way to look at whats on that disc.
I went looking in my kit stash last night and dug out my Huma Ta 283 kit and looked it over, I think I will be building it right after I finish the two aircraft hangers. The Ta 283 is a Focke-Wulf design and will fit in well with my Focke-Wulf theme for this year, after I get Jerry Crandall's new book on the Fw 190D-9,D-11, and D-13 I might spend the rest of this year building nothing but Focke-Wulf designs...including a Ta 183. ;D

Nice models.  The paint job is superb.  How did you get the spots on the VW in 72nd scale.  Was that airbrushed or hand brushed?

Ed

Matrix, I for one hope that the Badger rumors are just that. I've owned a Badger of some sort since 1982!

Thanks Ed S,
The VW is 1/48 scale and it (as well as the other models in this thread) was painted with my Badger 100G airbrush.

BlackOps,
I also hope Badger can keep going, I have been using their airbrushes for a long time and will continue using them for much of my work, I  have a 150 and a 100G and they have never let me down...unlike a certain other brand that I tried recently. ;D
