Anime version of the same aircraft.

IIRC, the similarity in the engine placement scheme is because they are seaplanes launched from seaplane battleships.

I have to agree that's cool.
I've got the 1/72 Tu-22M Backfire C kit in my stash and the remains of a Mig-33. My first thought was a EW version, then I had a rethink. Perhaps the FB-111m3. My 1/72 B-1B is in long term storage, a fixed wing version using the wings from a C-135.
