Well, there's a profile in "Flying Colors", but that's about the only reference to this Indian Air Force "Red Arrows" MiG-21.  In the profile, it shows a very definite pinky-purple color, so I went with the ripple.  Decals go on tonight, and I'll post more pics then.  I just couldn't help myself. . .

Does anyone out there actually have a photograph of one of these???  I searched the interwebs, but came up with ziltch.

Oh! thanks!

That pic is great.  Mine's not as pink, but I think I'm close enough.  After all, the one on stick has been outside for quite a while.  The profile in my book doesn't have those black markings by the cockpit, either.  I will probably add those before throwing down the decals.  Hmmm. . .

Real World or not, that makes people sit up and take notice - the nice thing is that people will accuse it of being a whiff when it actually isn't....

Zotz or someone like that produced this one on a decal sheet.

Okay, here's some pics, 99.9995 percent complete.  I need to stick in the odd-rods IFF antennae, and then I'll be done with this project.  After perusing those photos of the fighter on a stick, I did repaint the wings and part of the fuselage.  It was ugly.  The red had this nasty tendency to just peel up, like a really thin decal.  But it turned out okay in the pics.  In real life, you can really tell I repainted the sucker.  Anyhow, I'm not entirely displeased.  It's good enough for the people I hang out with.  Have a gander:

Well done.  I like this color scheme.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.
