The radical design of SAI Ambrosini SS-4 -with canard-style wing layout and a ´pusher´propeller-, developed in the late 1930s; had to recover urgently in last months of WW2, incorporating the innovation of the jet engine.

The result showed similarities with their contemporary japanese, american,...... or swedish.

Shinden meets SAAB J-21R. I like it!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Nicely done!  I only discovered the SS-4 in Greg Goebel's article on Air Vectors last month.  It's nice to see one in the flesh, so to speak.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Wow, that's an interesting looking bird... so almost Shinden 2, but it's so... Short.  That's the one big difference when you look at it, is the overall length, and the wing root width, and the shape of the tailplanes.  It's such an interesting look though, and the silver finish is nice.

Very nice Paco.

But no spats, t-tail or tip tanks?

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.
