Finally got back to working on this one.  The PSR is finished.  Next step is a primer coat.  Should get it sprayed tomorrow evening.  Here's what it's looking like so far.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

When that first came up I thought I was looking at an SR177. This is looking gooooooooooood!

Looking great so far, Ed.  And a very brave conversion, at that.  I agree with kitbasher about modifying the tailfin; you don't want it looking so elegant for Soviet a/c.  But it's your model, of course!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Interesting concept, the wing fences certainly bring a bit of Soviet Edge to it.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.

I made some progress on this over the weekend.  Here it is with paint and decals.  The decals are from a Propagteam sheet for a Czech Mig-23 BN.  They fit the Su-16 quite well.  The colors are based on the same Mig colors.

Here is the finished SU-16, Nato Code Name "Fluffy".  Sukhoi's attack and close support jet from the early 70's.  Popular throughout the Warsaw Pact and with other Soviet Allies they served well into the 90's.  Here is one from the Czech Republic during the early 90's.

I
LOVE
IT!

What a cool idea, it gives the sluf such broad "shoulders".  Not a SLUF anymore I suppose.  Oops, I meant not a SLUFski.
