It really depends.

Testors first go at acrylics in the Model Master line wasn't very good.

However, they reformulated the paints and remarketed them under the "Model Master Acryl" name and those are OK.

So as long as you get the bottles with "Acryl" on them, you shouldn't have problems.

In my experience, I've found that either distilled water or Testors' own thinner for the Acryl line are the best thinning agents for those paints.

I like them for brush painting, thinned with alcohol slightly, but out in the low humidity of the desert, they tend to flash dry with an airbrush. I hate cleaning out clogs !

My favorite acrylic paint was Polly Scale (not Polly S); Testors Acryl is a lot easier to get, made by the same company and it's about the same.

I thin Acryl for airbrushing with windshield wiper fluid  - 1:1 - 1:3, paint to fluid, depending on humidity, what I'm painting, etc. 1:1 most of the time, though. The blue color doesn't affect the paint color.

When the humidity is high (or I need a faster drying time) I thin and airbrush with denatured alcohol. It will dry very quickly, though.

I love these paints.  Don't have a single bad thing to say about them.  For brushing, I find they're a lot easier to deal with than the Tamiya acrylic paints.  They also work very well through my Badger 150, usually thinned about 3:1 with isopropyl alcohol.  The only thing I don't like about them, is only one place stocks them here.

Does anyone have any idea where abouts in the UK you can actually get the model master range???  I've been searching for them for some time now.
