As mentioned, I'm going to post this as a one-stop-shop for all queries and questions you may have about the GB generally or any issues (!) you may be experiencing with your build particularly. Not just for myself or Rallymodeller, but anybody who has an answer or a solution, just jump in.

Also if you need a decal, or spare wing, a couple of rocket pods etc, ask here; Chances are as we are all heading in roughly the same direction somebody here may be able to help/advise.

Ok that's it for now..... well not quite..... Did anybody see where I left those UB32 rocket pods ?...... I know I had them here a minute ago :banghead:

I've got a nice stash of oddbal markings in 1/72 scale (mostly Zotz sheets I think). If you need Somalian or Bhutanese (or some other small country's) makrings, let me know.

Ooooh, I might just tap you up for Ethiopian Roundels Brian, if you have them.  I haven't bought my kit yet so I'll let you know if get around to it!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks, Klunk, really appreciate that.

I'm too lazy to look through the "Genesis" thread (the one that gave birth to this GB), but are supersonic trainers allowed, ie, T-38's, Japanese T-2's, etc?

I don't think so. They're more two-seat fighters than anything else.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

I think we decided not. It was agreed to rule out trainer conversions of "proper" fighter planes to avoid something like a Mirage 2000D with a laser pod and a smart bomb being classified as "counter-insurgency", when it's not really in the spirit of the GB. Now whilst the T-38 and the T-2 started out as trainers, they're functionally identical to trainer-versions-of-fighters, that is to say that if the F-5 and F-1 had come first, their two-seat trainer version would have been indistinguishable from the T-38 and T-2.

Wearing my Moderators hat, I'd say YES. Simply because it fulfils the 'inclusive' nature of the forum in general - See Rool 2...... There's absolutely nothing to stop you building a T-2 (or even a M200D) if that's what you wish to do. But as Weaver points out these projects aren't really in the same spirit as perhaps the armed Chipmunk or Argosy Gunship that were mentioned in the 'genesis' thread.

Back to you

What Ian said. I just can't imagine, say, an F-18B being based out of a rough airstrip duking it out with guerrilla fighters. After all, that didn't work out too well for the Americans in Vietnam, or the Russians in Afghanistan. IMHO the intention was for aircraft that were designed as trainers first.

A question to our Mods, when is the closing date ?  I read Da Roolz but all I can see is it says we have plenty of time, and I can't find where it was said in the other threads.  I would like to do one more for this GB if I can get it done, I've got a PC-9 or a Tucano (maybe both) I'd like to do.

Sorry, just found it, I skip through the thread to quick.  OK, looks like another is in the works.
