Sweet & Cool  You're doing an Awesome job!!!! Small Q:what kind of Fighters or Choppers do you plan to use??? just Curious!!!!

They're probably the most controversial part of the whole build Wyrm - I've had all sorts of feedback on them, and I defend my perspective - from a pure logistical design, they're in the only truely logical place I could put them that they would reap the most benefit.  There's hangars either side of the stack, each capable of fitting (roughly, but it could be a scale thing) the helicopters that I have planned for deployment.  I also am still yet to slice one of the two pads and show it in a retracted position.

As to what helicopter, I've got a Helix that I'm going to be putting on deck, which goes with the Soviet nature.

I'm not sure what angles I could get a nice overall shot, Pyro.  Dy, thanks, and yes the helipads are odd, but they really came together when it was fully done.  Chris, when hell freezes over, unless you're financing all the styrene and fiberglass and stuff I'll need.

Great result, Saur! Turned out beautiful!

It's got both the WWII battleship style and the distinctive decks bristling with armament so often seen in Soviet warship design.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Comrade, I weep with joy at the great example of the superiority of Socialist engineering. You have turned the terrible weapon of a foe into a glorious demonstration of Soviet naval pride. I raise a glass of vodka to your triumph!  :drink:

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Nice Build, though I don't "understand" military things constructed after about 1955.

Do the helo pads "flap" "Dumbo" style, and give the ship a few extra knots?
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Sauragnmon

Not quite, Craig - I actually conceptualized them retracting over themselves when not in use, so as to avoid causing problems in high sea states or situations.
