To be clear otherwise things could get very complicated - whenever do they do that on this site ?

Argos is a city in Greece and it's also a Catalogue Store in the U.K. Just in case some elsewhere in the world don't know that

and different again from the English argosy which means a large ship and apparently comes
from the old Italian Ragusea; a vessel of Ragusa. (OED)

Plural is argosies according to the the OED.

;D

They must have had a few pints that night to get from Ragusa (which I've been to) to Argosy  :drink:

They dropped  their R's,  in a manner of speaking.  Ragusa -> agusea -> argosy.    I suppose it's possible.

Yup that's a way they could get from a to b  Not really an R dropper myself. My "problem" according to my old English master was my Th sound becoming an F. I still do it and can't see what the heck the fuss was about. Everybody who attended the school play that year understood what I said perfectly
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Has there ever been a Mach2 theme build?

If there had been it may have ended up with NO completed builds!  :o

Depends on how long you allowed - "The Mach 2 Theme Build is now into its 23rd year and shows no sign of having its first satisfactorily completed build".

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Hehehehe.  ;D

We'd need a rota of moderators for a GB that ran THAT long!  :o

Believe me, you do NOT want my daughter (Did you know she was the RAF's Best Air Traffic Controller?) as a moderator!  :o

It would look nice with a RCAF lightning bolt.

You can say that again ! There is/was one preserved down in Kalamazoo. Haven't seen it in almost 30 years I really need to get back down that way again !

There is? Where? I don't recall seeing one at the Air Zoo.

What a nice paint job.  I have a feeling Frankston Skycabs may be painting something similar in the future...
