Zeke, I love this model!  As to the nose radome, it looks like it might have come from a CF-100.

Beautifully finished model Zeke!  Looks the part too, something to aspire to.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Absolutely Fabulous!

I wonder what the post 1962 designation would have been is!

One little question about the Panther, where are the Suez stripes?

Seriously Zeke, superb models.

According to our WHIF RSME (Jon), the F7F Tigercat would not have been drafted directly into USAF/USAAF service but a variation on the original design was proposed as the P-65 so if we add a dash of WHIF to the mix and call it the P-65 we are not too far off the mark.  Now if it were to be used in SEA as a COIN aircraft would it have been called the A-65?  Or keeping in line with the other changes made in the post war years where all P designated aircraft were labeled with an F so instead of P-65 would it become the F-65 and then the A-65 if it were turned into an attack aircraft for interdiction and counter-insurgency missions?  Keeping in mind the designation changes applied to the A-26 Invader during that same period when it was changed from an attack aircraft (A-26) to a bomber aircraft (B-26) and then back to an attack aircraft (A-26K) to keep the locals appeased about having a bomber instead of an aggressive attack aircraft stationed in their peaceful country...

This thing looks so good it's scary!  The tip tanks really do it.  Do you have a backstory to go with it?  And just for contemplation, what about a turboprop version?

No history as such other than the starting point of an alternative to the A-26K...although can you imagine the Air Force Pilots being forced to fly a ..cough cough...Navy machine?...oooh that would hurt!...:D
Turboprop version?...now that sounds interesting...

They loved the Skyraider.
