That 802 looks like it would be a great candidate for a turboprop whiff. . .

Glad you found something Optimist!  Intrigued to see what it'll be, there are only a few single engined jet types on there, hmmm.....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Mossie --- Watch out for my second thread ... It will be the TA183 III

Nice choice!  Didn't think you'd go for the earlier Ta-184, I imagine it's high T-tail might cause you some control problems.

Thanks ... but it is mostly scripting and handling coords...

Very cool!  OK, I'm still a little confused about the process you use. You design these in the computer but what is the process they are produced in. Are they cut by a machine or molded? Not sure what happens after you design it.

Great paintjob by the way

The smooth spherical surface of the CAD model is separated into short staight sections and this sections are manufactured  via Hot Wire Cut ( CNC as in this case ) or manually...

Take a look...

Thanks, now I get it, I didn't know there was such a machine. Pretty neat process.

Is the clip of the MiG-3 maiden flight yours Optimist?
It looks like that one flew very well indeed, surprisingly stable.
It's a big, wide world out there...so if it's all the same to you I'll just stay indoors!

Yepp! That is me ( thath one with the hat!!) as the Mig is rather half as much as compareable others in weight ... it is more like a "warbird trainer" ... not that fast as a piston engined plane, but it flies great with about 350 Watt of E power!!!  and the climbing abilities are more than enough!!!
