I wonder how a stinger tail (with M-61 sting) would look on a Vigi?

Probably look great, but it would have to hinge up out of the way to let bombs out.

The bomber Vigilantes ejected their weapons from a linear bomb-bay between the engine exhausts. AFAIK the recce birds used the space for extra fuel tanks.

Yep was aware - I invisioned this wouldn't be the case with a tail gun though
