Very nice. Makes me wonder why I have not been watching this from the start... guess I must've missed it somehow...
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Should be very cool to see, Ron.  The only black aircraft I've done was a Ka-52 I did a few years ago, which shall eventually be sacrificed in the name of bash-chi (the rotors snapped off, they're in pieces and lost, so I'm gonna whif the everloving hell out of it instead).

I plan on a couple of near-black builds Soon™ - my Black Eagle build will be done in the colours from the MiG-29K Airshow bird - schwarzgrau upper surfaces, Black nosecone with a white band, light gray undersides, black tail tips.  Yeah, I know, I could call it Blackgray, but Schwarzgrau just comes off easier to me.  I also plan on doing the MiG-31 from Schwarz Squadron of the Belkan Airforce, which is 90% Schwarzgrau with Red stripes in places, a black nosecone, and a few other black points.

Black is sexy, and we ALL know it.
Putty-fu, Scratch-jutsu and Bash-chi, the sacred martial arts of the What-If. Mastering them, is Ancient Chinese Secret.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.

Glad you like her Saur. I haven't done a dark ship since the SkyRocket so this will be fun  ;D I need to find some low vis markings for it. After I finish the many more sanding sessions

I have had some concerns over the center of gravity and the center of lift with the wings so far back but I did not want to add canards to this one so I am going to install extended LERX like a Super Hornet

What y'all think

Man ....the speed at which you can bang these builds out is amazing
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

That's the ticket!  Your innovative builds are starting to make a whole lot of aircraft designers around the globe look like they're stuck in silo-mentality by comparison.

Thanks all y'all.  ;D The fact that I can put stuff like this together is very dependant on the inspiration that I get from this site.  It also helps that y'all know what it's like to set down and sand for 5 effin hours
EDIT oh yeah that includes glosscoting another project ,petting 2 cats , and hanging out with the wife on Valentines day :banghead: :banghead:

Ron, in my opinion you need to do one of two things for the LERXs, either extended the end points so that it nestles in right at the dogtooth intersection, or shorten them so they are about 1/2 to 2/3rds down the inner leading edge.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

sotoolslinger

Kitnut I thought about both those options. I did not extend them all the way to the dogtooth as it is a moving surface and I wanted airspace between them so as to set up the proper vortices. I wanted them as large as possible to avoid having the center of lift so far rearward but I cannot extend them forward any more as the end right at the cannon muzzles.(plus the surplus wing parts I used happened to be that shape ;D )
