If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

I prefer to think of it as Kit -massaging  ;D You know, the kind you get in the seedy part of town

Well that explains the Dagmars on this aircraft.  ;D

If I may make an observation, Ron your integration of components is just getting better and better.
The machines are really taking on a unified appearance similar to the best of the sci-fi illustration
and CGI gaming designs. The not so great stuff looks kluged together, your creations look like they
were formally designed and drawn. Really outstanding examples of 3-D collage.

Jon

p.s. rather than a scroll saw, go for a tabletop bandsaw. Trust me you'll find it the handiest tool.  ;D

sotoolslinger

Thanks Jon ;D I consider that very high praise. With no engineering or aerodynamics background I have learned most of my stuff from this site. As many knowledgeable folks there are here it pleases me to be able to create convincing designs(even if I steal most of em)

This is why I don't scratch build much  This took all afternoon and was a pain in the butt :banghead: Figuring out all those little effin angle cuts bites

Note that I included tank vents for the integral cans ;D
I also found a way to fill in some space with ram air intakes for venting and the fridge system

I also wanted to blendyfy the Phoenix pallets

She's looking awesome Ron, the puttywork to blend the edges should go easily enough, man.
Putty-fu, Scratch-jutsu and Bash-chi, the sacred martial arts of the What-If. Mastering them, is Ancient Chinese Secret.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.

So, I leave you guys alone for a mere two days and upon returning I find this? Wow!
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Eddie M.

Everytime I see something like this come together, the line from the song Pinball Wizard by The Who comes to mind.

"How do you think he does it?
I don't know
What makes him so good?"

Do you sit and put your ideas together a head of time or is this stuff instantaneous inspiration? :o Me, I can't think that far in advance. This is why I get beat all the time at chess.
Look behind you!

sotoolslinger

Thanks Moritz ;D Eddie I very much appreciate your comments. ;D I love the Who. The ideas or at least parts of them are usually immediate. They sometimes evolve but the basic idea is generally the same when completed.
