USAF LC-130H assigned to Antarctic ops for the National Science Foundation, dayglo portions on the airframe

I've got a nice Cutting Edge conversion to do this one Simon.

Lovely!  That herky bird in particular or something 'special'?  I've got a Twotter in the stash & I'd like to have a crack at one of the British Antarctic Survey's aircraft, although I can't find the decals.  I saw a couple on a stand at Telford so unless they printed their own, there's some available somewhere!  I've read a review that says the Modelcraft incarnation of the kit has them, but I've never seen it.  Might have to tap someone up....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

There's an US Antarctic Twotter Simon which is done by Modelcraft:

But I seem to remember seeing a British one too, I thought it might have been a Draw Decal sheet but it's not.

The Ski Herc might be a 'What-If' but haven't decided yet.

I am planning an Arctic Aggressor F-22 as soon as I can get a Revell kit.  Got the TwoBobs decals for it already.

Robert, that US Antarctic Twotter does look nice, & not unlike the British Antarctic Survey aircraft, might be an option.  I've done a little searching on the net & found that it was the South Atlantic & Antartica SIG that had the BAS Twotters, I might try & contact them & see if they can shed any light on it.

Hmmm - that might be a good use for my XC-8A Hover-Buffalo (Huffalo?  Puffalo? ;D): hi-vis markings for the Canadian Antarctic Survey (or something equally unlikely...)

Love that Where Eagles Dare Ju52 Vostoc7, nice touch with the paratrooper in the door!

Weaver how about painting it pink with yellow polka dots or something equally Hippie style and call it the "H.R. Puff 'n Stuffalo?

I've seen a few of the British Antarctic planes. Favourite was a Dash 7 (VP-FBQ). Pity theres no kit available.

Fantastic!!    Now you need an "FW190" to go with it ;)

And since Simon has cleverly decided to include polar schemes as well, how about a couple of JMSDF birds?

Excellent, we're getting the ball rolling here!  There's no reason of course that we can't mix & match hi-vis & snow camo schemes too, with bright or dayglo portions over the base camo, for peace keeping operations & such.

GD, there are decals available for both the Dash 7 & 8 in 1/144 & 1/72 scale, so there should be a kit available.  They're probably vac form or multi media.

And of course, how could I forget the JASDF Arctic Aggressor scheme?  And whiffy profile to boot by Blackops...

I'd be into this one.  Certainly have a good deal of inspiration around me and I've been wanting to try a snowy tarmac diorama...

When would the group build decision be made official?  Or do we do it on our own as an informal deal?

Well, I don't think the next round of votes will happen for a few months.  We could push to get the votes in then (of course, theres no guarantee we'll get it), or go for an unofficial build earlier.
