NARSES2

I'd seen them mentioned in a magazine last month but had no other info.

I'm looking forward to them, despite what people say about A-Model. The IAR-80/81 kits are very nice and hopefully the Vampires will follow the same trend.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I like the look of the new Beriev kit, that would look good with a pair of ASM's on it. But it is way out of my price league  >:(

Have you built the IAR's yet?

I'm in progress with one of them and it's going together quite nicely. Sure it's not as good a fit as the 2 Tamiya Fw190 D's I'm building at the same time (although strangely they do have a slight fit issue with the wing joint... and it's both of them so I don't think it's me). I'm taking my time with it but I am enjoying it. Helps that it's an aircraft I really like and I also love the Romanian colour scheme.

Cheers - always had a soft spot for the IAR-81 myself!

Might have to succumb....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Think I'll wait to see a review Mossie but they are very tempting.

At £14 each! Gulp........

I can hold a complete 1/72 scale Vampire in one hand, and most of it is a big hole right through the middle!

Same here - Most interested in having a couple, but at that price I don't think I can. Maybe stretch to one at some point. Still, they're less than half the price of the ones CMK are releasing at the moment!
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Half the price yes, but are they the same standard as the old Frog kit  ;D

It would be hard to beat the original Heller Vampire for mould quality, a little jewel of a kit. I'm not 100% sure but I think Airfix re-released that kit under their name at some time, in Swedish markings perhaps?

Yep you're right Kit, RRP was £6.99. Should still be some around, almost bid for one yesterday on ebay but an Esci AV-8A/S Matador caught my eye instead!

Some sprue shots of the Vampire F.6 on this Russian language site:
http://www.rumodelism.com/forum/read.php?f=1&i=297489&t=296760#reply_297489

Saw an ARC thread on it & says the photos don't do the panel lines justice, I guess some of the guys who saw one at Hendon can comment?

The Wooksta!

Finely recessed.  They don't look any worse than current Airfix ones.
