I bit the bullet and ordered the Amonster Beriev Be-200. I have been told the bigger stuff is of better quality, so I will let you know when it arrives.
Cheers,
Chris.

The Beriev arrived this morning, and to be perfectly honest, it ain't worth the money
The fuselage needs a lot of work on it for a start, nicks and cuts in it and panel lines look like they were done under the influence of either strong alcohol, or illegal recreational drugs . Or a toddler. The wing roots are also a mess as are the joins in the pre glued fuselage halves, the window openings are also very shoddy,I have not inspected the smaller parts yet apart from the glazings, which apart from the canopy won't be getting used, as they are crap.
There is a bit of photo etch in the kit but I have yet to examine these and find out what they are for, I will have a better look at the smaller part another time, but they do seem a little better than their offerings on the smaller kits.
Cheers,
Chris.

A Model are doing the IL=40 Brawny model in 1/72, sort of a jet age Sturmovik.

Kits of both Prototypes, wonder if one will be revised to create the Il-102 ?

I noticed the Brawny on Hannants. The blurb is quite amusing, mentions it was quite succesfull until it fired it's guns  ;D

May well get this as I keep getting the Unicraft one out of it's box and putting it back  :banghead:

Wonder if they are going to do the long legged crane version of the Mi-10.  ;D

The second prototype is even more ugly than the first :o They both look like they were designed.... no drawn by 7 year olds. That have been plied with Vodka. Hmm? desperate times demand desperate measures I suppose.
Put me down for one of each, as no matter how you build these, they are not going to look any worse are they??

You just used the word "good" when talking about an AModel kit?

You mean without immediately follwed by "grief!!!!!"  ? ;D

Actually saw Chrisnords Be-200 kit last weekend, the GRP parts are a bit heavy and in need of clean up, but the rest of the parts appeared to be very clean & neat, although we will have to await a build review from Chris or Ken for how well they fit.

Still at least they do subjects that are ignored by the mainstream lot, so have their niche in the market.

Yes, they plan to do it later.
By the way, the Mi-10 mouldings are really of good quality.

Yes, I did. I've built Merlins, Meircrafts, and early MPMs*, and really don't mind a bit of sanding. Your mileage, as they
say, may vary.

I'm considering some of their kits.  Are they really as bad as many here are making out?  They're the only ones who some of the more interesting Soviet models so they seem the only game in town for those ones.
