IIRC, the u/c was fixed in the down position.  Mind, I'd like to see that wing fitted to a 109K fuselage or the Revell G-10 could be easily converted.

My bad, i was at on an online shop looking at the 109 in detail and saw the Yak & thought they were the same manufactuer.

I notice it was a test airframe for the Me-309's undercart config, hence the outward retraction.

Vis a vis the recent postings about the forthcoming A Model Bristol Brabazon, OGL and I were strolling around the stands at the MK Show today, as you do, and came across Ken Duffy on the Soviet Air Force SIG. He showed us his review copy of the A Model Brabazaon, and is it ever HUGE!

The fuselage is a pre-bonded fibreglass moulding, already joined so you can't add all the seating if you wanted to (as if.....) and the wings, also fibreglass, have injection moulded inserts to take the engines and props etc. You actually get all eight of the engines to show through the hatches if you want to!

The piccie shows the size of it, darned if I have a shelf that big, but I wish I did!

Ah, the magic formula!  Extended wing-tips, perhaps with Proteas turboprops replacing the Centaurus piston engines?  Will that be the right bait?

I've got plans for three.  BOAC Speedbird, Queen's Flight & use the wing of the third to create one of the Bristol 100 ton bomber projects.  Just need to find the money to buy them, the skill & time to build them & the barn to display them in!

Execuform or Combat Wings?  It was some micey outfit I'd barely heard of.  IIRC, they were doing a Saro Princess too.
