In the May 2009 issue of Analog, there is an excellent story on page 46 that combines What if scenarios, P-51/Bf-109 and FW-190D dogfights, flight simulation and science fiction.  A very unusual combo, but it is excellent, IMHO.  Its called "Rendezvous at Angels 30", and is very accurate.

More info and a link to the article would be really nice.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

He's referring to a science fiction story in the May issue of an actual physical magazine.
Analog's website hasn't been updated with the contents of the May issue, and anyhow the
story wouldn't be available online there, as it has just been published.
The magazine hits the stands on March 3, so it should be available as an e-book at the
same time.

The May issue is published in March? What are they smoking?

That's not unusual, many monthly magazines run two months ahead.
