G'day Gang,

Modelversium has a review of the new ICM He-70F.  Looks like the still lovely Matchbox kit can be retired.  Great news for those who've been perusing the thread on the aircraft.

I think I'd still prefer the Matchbox offering as you get the option of thr radial engine version as well.

I don't think the Matchbox version will be going anywhere in a hurry, especially as the Revell boxing is £5 as opposed to ICM's £15!  I think you get the radial engine in the Revell kit too.  Be good for those who aren't afraid to shell out a bit more refined kit.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Looks very nice. I think it's a bit on the pricy side, though...

The Revell kit does have the radial engine.

Panel lines look a little heavy, haven't a clue if they are accurate.

They're supposed to be doing an Air to Ground set later, no idea what'll be in it though.

I was looking through the Squadron site last night, and I noticed they have a bunch of ICM stuff on sale.  Most of the sales are the 10-25% off variety, but some items are deeply discounted, like 65% or more off.  What initially prompted my interest was a listing on the site for their 1/35 Beobachtungspanzer Panther.  This is an artillery observation vehicle built on a Panther chassis.  The kit normally goes for about $50, but the Squadron have it for $15.  Might be an inexpensive way to get the Panther chassis without shelling out for the whole tank.

It took some searching, but I also found their 1/72 weapons sets, one for air-to-air and one for air-to-ground.

I have both the sets, and they are pretty good quality. The air to air set has the most missiles in it, and is worth the cash. The air to ground set has some good modern stuff but not as many compared to the air to air set.

ICM promulgated 3D pictures of their future release. It will be Focke-Wulf Fw 189A-1 in 1/48 scale:

ICM is working on a 1/144 scale model of the Tu-144:

Good news, but a foregone conclusion once I'd purchased the BraZ resin kit of same.
