had a look inside the box yesterday, looks nice, very feint panel lines. Decals aren't exactly generous and most of the Boeing scheme will need to be painted by the modeller, but ideal for a KC-787 methinks...

How on earth do they want us to paint that scheme with hardly any decals? Me thinks i'll do a SAS version, with decals from the Revell A340...

Looks good - have you got a broken fan blade there (pic.6)?

Nice!  Can't wait to get my hands on a couple.  For now I'll just have to do with those 1/200 desktop models I got off ebay.

Now if Zvezda would make an Embraer E-190, I'd be content...

Hasegawa's doing a 1/144th scale E-170 in JAL colours but I think the 190 needs a bigger wing and different engines as well as the stretched fuselage.

The Ju 88A is out.  The box says it's an A-4 but the tail is wrong! The fin given is for the earlier A-1 but the engines and wings are for the A-4.  Still, at half the price of the Hasegawa* one, it'll be worth a go IF you can get a corrected tailfin.

*The Ju 88A6 "Special Edition" is £40!!!! For the standard A-4, new decals and a brass set.  An extra £15?  Someone is having a giraffe here!  My reply is unprintable...

It's only a simple 1.8 cm stretch of the wings. The differences to the engines are internal. They are both CF-34s, and share the same fairings.

Thanks 787, that sounds do-able. Just have to hope Hasegawa don't force us to take out a mortgage to pay for the kit!

You still need to buy 2 E-170s though, for the fuselage stretch  And at Hasegawa prices, the Authentic Airliners kit might be a safer bet:

That looks rather nice doesn't it?

Glorious workers of Zvezda design company have excelled. Soon available plastik kit of glorious Soviet helicopter gunship that makes decadent Western tanks run like the evil capitalist running dogs they are. Za Rodinu!

CAD drawings of Zvezda's forthcoming 1/72 Mi-24/35 Hind family have surfaced on their website. More pics >>HERE<<.

Teasers:

Looks like Zvezda have a winner in the making. May even be better than the gorgeous Hobby Boss kit. Plus, whereas Hobby Boss only produces a Hind-E, Zvezda will produce the -F (fixed twin 30mm gun) and the Mi-35M as well.
Cheers,
Moritz

Comrades! The Hind has arrived! And it is awesome!   Do your patriotic duty and check the link in the post above again, as it now contains some sprue pics as well as .pdf documents of the instructions.

What's more, Zvezda has announced an injection kit of the Sukhoi T-50!  In 1/72!  To be released in early 2011.

Think I'll have to get the T-50, may get the Hind but I've four Hasegawa's (3 A's & an E) , an Airfix and a couple of Esci D's already.

T-50 is SO on the list a few times over.  I might look into that new one since it's got the 23mm twin cannons.  I've got my Hase 24A and 24P, the Hobby Boss 24V, and the Italeri 24V, but the sheer detail on it, and the fact it's got the 23mm mount, has me interested in the Zvezda V/VP.
