The Wooksta!

I'm just waiting now for their Spitfire F.XVIe, which I suspect will be the F.XVIIIe reboxed with a new fuselage.

Nice releases.  I wonder what the story is behind the USAF Morava?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The Wooksta!

My advice is to try and obtain them via ebay.  There's a few Polish traders who are knocking them out much cheaper and even with the postage factored in, you'll save a couple of quid over the Hannants price.

Nice releases.  I wonder what the story is behind the USAF Morava?

Wikipedia says a few of them were still in service in Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic as of 2008.  Given that the USAF have been conducting exercises and cross-training out that way the last few years, they may have leased a couple as evaluation machines.

Had a look through Airliners.net but no USAF Morava pics, wonder if it could have been painted up for a movie or if it's from the US civil register?

Tempted with the Letov.  Looks like a Warpac Basset.

One of those with RAF Germany as a hack?  Acquired from the DDR after the fall of the wall?  Becoming more and more attractive!

Certainly wouldn't pay the Hannants price though. I'll wait and see what the Czech traders are selling them for at Telford or maybe someone may bring one back from Eday.

Judging by his previous efforts, the Spitfires will all be the same plastic in each box and instructions to "fill here and remove this bulge"

With Sword having released the LF.XVIe, I've a feeling the AZ won't be released but a new mk VIII wouldn't go amiss.

The Wooksta!

A quick wander through the AZ site reveals oodles of new Spitfire kits.  The promised XVIe is available soon and is a complete new tool.  There are photos over on Britmodeller and it looks fab.  I've one of their current Mk IXcs and they are the best they've released yet.

Best of all, though, is the Joy kit release of the Spitfire IX. Three sprues, no decals or artwork and all for the same price as a standard kit.  Value for money!

My wallet won't be very happy and neither will Wor Lass.
