It was Burt's idea for a "cheap" CAS platform.  Officially the "Low Cost Battlefield Attack Aircraft (LCBAA)," it was typical Rutan cleverness in its layout.  The thing is still around and still flying.  Perhaps it might get picked up to supplement the A-10.  Maybe...
